In this paper, the feasibility of applying tab cooling in large-format lithium-ion battery was comprehensively investigated using the Cell Cooling Coefficient. The large-format pouch cells (capacity ≥ 45 Ah) tested in this study showed limited thermal management capability when tab-cooled.
